What Are You "Thankful" For?

What Are You

"Be thankful for everything that happens in your life; it’s all an experience."- Roy T. Bennett

When my wife and I first started hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house, we wanted to implement a new tradition of going around the table and asking everyone what they were most thankful for.

And, depending on the number of guests (and sometimes age), those conversations can get quite lengthy. But every year, I am repeatedly humbled by the responses. Big or small, simple, or in-depth, they are meaningful, so who cares if the turkey gets cold?

This year, when the question is asked to me, one of the many things I am thankful for (2023 in particular) is Stagedge. Why?

Well, there are a lot of reasons, but here are my top 3:

Opportunity

1. The Opportunity

Not just for me, but also for others. I came aboard in early May of this past year. And, for the past 6 months, I have woken up every morning grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a purposeful, innovative company that not only believes in marketing but is fully invested in it. And the opportunities for others to be part of this amazing journey are only growing. I’m thankful for the  longevity of many of my fellow Stagedge colleagues as well as ones who have joined me in the past year. You know who you are, but in case you need a refresher (and I’ll include myself for the sake of posterity):

 Kaitlyn Bolan – Project Manager

Jon Martel – Sr. Marketing Manager

  Zach Gerhartz – QC Lead

Joseph MacNeil – Director of AV Services

  Daryl Pauley – Technical Director

  Luis Santillana – Account Executive

2. The Clients

Our success is contingent upon the success of our clients. They are what make up our DNA. They are the engines that drive us. We not only work for them but with them. And we are privileged to partner with some first-class organizations across many different industries worldwide.

We set the bar high, and we expect the end results to be superior. Because of this, testimonials can often get overlooked. But when we receive ones such as the two below, we quickly become grounded. I am indebted to our clients.

I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to each of you for your efforts in making yesterday’s Town Hall such a success. You not only delivered what we believe to be a near-flawless event (and currently our highest-rated one – WOW!) but also put on your detective hats to successfully sleuth and thwart technology gremlins. I fully recognize the latter part was the real challenge as it was equally perplexing and frustrating, and I thank you for your dedication and perseverance to resolve. I think we can call this a #teamwin!

Congratulations – and let’s use this same formula and have an even better Q4 event!

Thanks once again.

My thanks for all the work your team put forth this week “for me”. I have worked with many production companies and have to say – your team is professional, fun, and knows how to get it all done. I would not have been as successful – without them.

Please let each one know how grateful I am for the work each and every one of them did for me this week. From the group setting up the Know Your Network event to the production itself! WOW….

A special thank you to Daryl, Lee, and Shep (for being very nimble each day/each hour).

There are times in life when you take a step back and look at all who helped you get to where you are. I must humbly say this group has really done that this week.

With my heartfelt thanks to ALL!

I hope we get to work together again.

3. The Projects

Coming soon to a screen near you – a “complete” website refresh! This is what really gets my juices flowing. As a marketer when you get to be a part of a project that includes a redesign, a new theme, new messaging, new content, new optimization, and can arm your AE’s, and team with a sales resource tool and knowledge repository like no other, you get excited. And, with all that excitement, comes a true sense of appreciation and gratitude. I’m thankful for my digital and creative agencies as they act like an extension of the Stagedge team. I’m thankful for my internal team who is working tirelessly around the clock to get this up and running. I’m thankful to you as you read this and the opportunity to share this news with you. And I’m thankful for the anticipation and unveiling of what will be an awesome visual representation of who we are and what we do at Stagedge. Stay tuned!

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Stagedge!
