Salem State University Commencement

For more than two decades, Stagedge has partnered with Salem State University to produce commencement and other major institutional events. Held on campus at O’Keefe Arena, the ceremony calls for disciplined staging, clear audio intelligibility, and close coordination with academic leadership and facilities teams every single year.

The challenge

A commencement ceremony that repeats year after year carries its own kind of pressure. Every name has to be heard clearly, every transition has to hold the ceremony’s academic tone, and none of it can feel like it’s being figured out on the fly. Salem State needed a partner who could bring that same level of polish reliably, year over year, not just for a single flagship event.

What we delivered

Stagedge built full audio, lighting, and video production within the arena environment, with multi-camera IMAG and recording for archival distribution. Structured rehearsal and name-reading support kept the ceremony moving with precision, while integrated communication with academic leadership and stage management kept everyone aligned in real time. Hybrid commencement broadcasts, with livestream distribution and archival recording, extended the ceremony to families and alumni who couldn’t attend in person.
