Technical Director, Live/Hybrid and Virtual Events

Stagedge is seeking a Technical Director to join the team on a project basis for live, hybrid, and virtual events.

The Technical Director is the lead technical contact on a project team and collaborates with other project stakeholders, participating in regular client and internal project meetings.

What you’ll do

• Own project design and planning from a technical perspective.
• Assist in managing budgets, schedules, and resources throughout the event lifecycle.
• Provide timely information and feedback to account and department managers.
• Lead the technical team on site and ensure clear communication between staff, clients, and any vendor or venue staff involved in the project.
• Build and maintain show flow documents and call cues in live and virtual corporate events.

What you’ll bring

• 10 or more years of experience managing and directing large venue events with teams of varying sizes, as well as hybrid and virtual programs.
• Advanced experience with setup, rigging plot creation, and live event audio and video design and installation.
• Experience with virtual event applications including Zoom Client, Zoom Rooms, vMix, remote graphics operation, and cueing.
• Strong project and people management skills.
• Vectorworks or similar CAD design software experience is a plus.
